Anyone who’s familiar with the Belgian music scene knows that the Red Bull Elektropedia Awards is a date you should definitely note in your diary. This year’s RBEA took place on Wednesday, November 13th 2019 at Brussels Flagey. The cream of the Belgian nightlife scene gathered to honour rising stars and outstanding achievements in the country’s burgeoning music industry. The magnificent Flagey Studio 4 was transformed by the hands of Set and Lighting Designer, Thomas Boets into a very stylish and trendy Awards platform.
The set was built out of a number of vertical LED columns and a central LED main screen with video and light interacting through timecode and midi to perform as one. Two disguise 2x4pro media servers were the heart of this show sending out 30 sACN Universes and a handful of video feeds for live stream, LED and speaker screens.
Once again, Visual Solutions produced a fabulous example of how light (MA3) and video (disguise) can work separately and together at the same time, making total show control a fluent and seamless experience for designers and operators.
