“Tafelrond”, that’s the medieval name of this beautiful building situated at the “Grand Place” of the ancient city of Leuven. During it’s long existence, it has served in many different ways, and was destroyed and rebuilt several times.
The building now has been completely renovated and will be serving as a high standard hotel and star quality restaurant.
To officially inaugurate the new life of this building, Alice Events-DDMC, asked Visual Solutions to help them to create a video mapping that would tell the story of the past and the future of “Tafelrond”.
Together with Bart Winckers, the content director, we managed to create a very pleasant 30′ show.
Projection on this 32mx17m building was done using 2 dual stacked Barco HDQ-40 projectors. A great powerhorse with enormous light output.
d3 4×2 mediaserver provided flexible mapping and timecode tools.
A rather small, but nevertheless exciting project. With very quick setup and alignment time (<1hr)! [x_video_embed type="16:9" no_container="true"][/x_video_embed]
