Zouk Nightclub is a new innovative space, pushing the boundaries of dance music and is poised to become the most technologically advanced nightclub in Las Vegas. Partygoers can journey through multiple experiences with Capital Bar and Empire, which will be able to operate as an addition to the main club or separate venues on specific nights and seasons.
The highlight of the club is the “mothership”. It is a sculpture with multiple layers of cutting edge technologies. It is part of the identity of the architecture.
It can be a show itself or it can blend with the rest of the space in a seamless look thanks to its versatility and curated content offering multiple shows, transforming the venue together with the rest of the lighting and digital equipment ensuring goosebumps to the audience.
The overall lighting and media design is meant to serve to any production adding value and giving the necessary tools to elevate the experience for every show.
The system architecture facilitates multiples inputs and outputs of data and content facilitating the in-house and guest artists to take the most of the system.
The mothership is 7m by 2,5m sculpture that weighs 3 Tons. For its construction, different metals were used that meet specific characteristics to keep structural robustness at same time that maintains a low weight despite its volume.
It moves on different directions along the venue and perform in different inclinations due toits kinetic system. It is equipped with multiple layers of possibilities in terms of lighting with thousands of
pixels, different types of narrow and wide angle moving lights and strobes making a system that in total is managed with more than 17,000 DMX channels distributed in more than a hundred theatrical lighting fixtures and more than 2000 pixel mapping LED fixtures.
In its center it has a mechanical iris controlled by DMX with a powerful source of light coming from the inside.
The video system is running quite a lot of LED screens. There is a 3 piece proscenium LED, 24 ceiling LED pods of which 16 can move. There is a ceiling LED at the capital bar and 3 LED screens at the entrance.
The entire system is driven using 2 x Disguise VX4 machines and the show can be fully ran using GrandMA control or timeline control.
The system is setup so we can host multiple in/out from guest artists using Resolume or other software.
The motion data of the Raynok system is being fed into Disguise to trigger generative effects and to monitor the position of the pods and the mothership in the venue.
